Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
Develop and execute the solar business strategy, including market expansion and revenue growth.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
Monitor market trends, policy changes, and competitive landscapes to shape the company’s positioning.
Project Management & Operations:
Oversee the development, financing, construction, and operation of solar projects.
Ensure all projects comply with regulatory, environmental, and technical standards.
Optimize supply chain, procurement, and vendor relationships to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Financial & Commercial Management:
Manage P&L responsibility for the solar division.
Develop financial models and investment strategies for solar projects.
Negotiate contracts with EPCs, utilities, and other stakeholders to ensure favorable terms.
Leadership & Team Management:
Build and lead a high-performing team of solar energy professionals.
Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
Develop training programs and professional growth opportunities for team members.
Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Compliance:
Engage with government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies to shape policy advocacy.
Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and safety regulations in the solar sector.
Represent the company at industry conferences, forums, and public engagements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in the solar energy industry, with leadership roles.
Proven track record in solar project development, PPA negotiations, and financial structuring.
Strong knowledge of solar technologies, regulations, and market dynamics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to drive business growth while ensuring operational excellence.
Experience working with solar EPC companies, utilities, or independent power producers (IPPs).
Understanding of carbon credits, ESG policies, and renewable energy certificates (RECs).
Exposure to international solar markets and cross-border transactions.
